Years’ Experience: 12+ years professional experience related to Business Development, Capture, and Proposal Management processes
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field
Security Clearance: IBR is a federal contractor. Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
NOTE: United States Citizenship is required as part of the eligibility criteria to be able to obtain this type of security clearance.

Position Overview
The Director of Growth will define and implement a strategy to ensure continued growth in the commercial market and a highly complex government contracting environment. The Director of Growth will have the direct responsibility for the overall pursuit of new business, the identification and capture of new contracts, and marketing of the client to potential customers. The Director of Growth will also support oversight of project execution for key accounts.
Responsibilities
- Develop the overarching strategy and tactical activities for business development within the organization, focusing on all possible avenues to support continued growth.
- Identify, qualify, capture, and close new business through proactive relationship-building with potential customers.
- Maintain a pipeline of target opportunities that have been qualified through the IBR bid / no-bid process
- Lead business development activities for new business opportunities from premarketing through proposal submission.
- Establish and maintain relationships with teaming partners.
- Identify, recommend, and lead efforts to gain prime access to IDIQs, BPAs, and other GWACs.
- Create Proposal Skeletons based on Government RFP requirements
- Attend Industry Days and Seminars and be able to provide briefings to team on findings
Qualifications
- At least 12 years of directly applicable experience with growth, capture, and proposal management
- Bachelor degree required
- Must have experience in the DoD and Civil government contracting sectors
- Proven success identifying, influencing, responding to, and winning Federal government contracts.
- A track record demonstrating the ability to establish relationships with Federal government officials.
- Proven ability to identify and focus all efforts on the specific activities that will lead to corporate growth.
- Exceptional communication skills and a self-starter attitude willing to lead and contribute to any corporate activity.
- Willingness to work long hours during peak periods.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
While this position primarily involves sedentary work in an office environment and/or home-office environment, there are some physical demands associated with the role, including:
- Extended periods of sitting and working at a computer workstation.
- Occasional lifting and carrying of equipment or materials weighing up to 20 pounds.
- Occasional travel to client sites or meetings may be required.
- Work may need to be performed in a fast-paced environment requiring quick thinking and rapid judgements.
- Additionally, flexible work arrangements may be available based on business needs.
- Employee will be exposed to a wide variety of clients in differing functions, personalities, and abilities.
