Description

The Financial Analyst Intern must be able to meet the key criteria below:

 

Location: Hybrid Remote. Will require to visit IBR Headquarters in Rockledge, FL once per month.

Education: Open to College students pursuing degree in finance or accounting

Employment Type: Part-Time, Non-Exempt

Key Skills:

  • GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
  • Pursuing Bachelor degree in Finance or Accounting

 

Position Overview

The Financial Analyst Intern will support the IBR Accounting Lead with day-to-day accounting duties, financial close, financial system administration, payroll, and reconciliation.

 

Responsibilities

  • Support the operational day to day accounting functions including the creation, monitoring, and posting of journal entries including Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
  • Perform financial closing duties and financial statement preparation
  • Labor and payroll processing
  • Perform cash desk duties including deposits and payments
  • Cash Flow and Benefits Analysis support
  • Ensure proper ongoing reconciliation of GL Account and Project Ledger Reconciliation
  • Audit Support
  • Travel Card Administration

 

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a degree in Business, Finance or Accounting
  • Experience with Deltek CostPoint a bonus
  • Experience with Defense Industry Accounting Compliance a plus
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills required
  • Detail Oriented
  • Analytical Skills: Must be able to Troubleshoot and Problem Solve

 

Physical Demands and Work Environment

While this position primarily involves sedentary work in an office environment and/or home-office environment, there are some physical demands associated with the role, including:

  • Extended periods of sitting and working at a computer workstation.
  • Occasional lifting and carrying of equipment or materials weighing up to 20 pounds.
  • Occasional travel to client sites or meetings may be required.
  • Work may need to be performed in a fast-paced environment requiring quick thinking and rapid judgements.
  • Additionally, flexible work arrangements may be available based on business needs.
  • Employee will be exposed to a wide variety of clients in differing functions, personalities, and abilities.
