The Senior Java Developer must be able to meet the key criteria below:

  • Location: Must be able to be onsite in Arlington, VA 4 days per week and onsite in Suitland, MD 1 day per week
  • Years' Experience: 8+ years
  • Education: Bachelors
  • Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust
  • Work Authorization: Must be authorized to legally work in the United States
  • Key Skills:
    • Experience in Java Spring Framework (Boot, Batch, Data, Security)
    • 1+ relevant certification (Java, Oracle, CSS, Spring, CSM, PMP, CISSP, etc)

Overview

Do you want to help IBR build a portfolio of next-generation mobile enabled data collection systems? As a Java Developer at IBR, you will support the Agile based engineering of a robust, secure, and scalable operations control platform providing granular, real-time data visualizations into critical mission indicators. The mobile enabled, web based platform will orchestrate device ordering, provisioning, and asset management functions for a nationwide field staff of 500K+.

The candidate is required to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance.

The candidate is required to be onsite at the project facility in Arlington, VA (4 days/week) and Suitland, MD (1 day/week) during normal business hours.


Responsibilities

  1. Design and develop enterprise mid-tier components of web driven n-tier application framework with technologies such as: Java, ORM (Hibernate, JPA), Spring, Spring Security, JSON, REST, SOAP, XML.
  2. Implement web services, data persistence access features and external interfaces to third-party systems
  3. Partner closely with front-end and database engineers to ensure features are developed holistically
  4. Comply to coding standards for performance, ease of maintenance and scalability and application security.
  5. Follow Agile software development methodology and team architecture standards.
  6. Participate in design, code, and test inspections throughout life cycle to identify issues/defects

Qualifications

  1. 1+ relevant certification (Java, Oracle, CSS, Spring, CSM, PMP, CISSP, etc)
  2. Experience in Java Spring Framework (Boot, Batch, Data, Security)
  3. Experience with Agile Scrum
  4. Desired technology experience includes: Javascript, Orace 12c database, Oracle WLS, Apache Tomcat, Eclipse IDE (as part of Spring Tools Suite), SSO, Oracle SOA, Hibernate, Rest Services
  5. Experience developing and integrating complex software systems through the full system development life cycle
  6. Experience delivering in Agile based environments
  7. Desired experience with: Legacy System Modernization, Services Design, Financial Systems, Modularization / Common Components Abstraction (creating functionality for use across multiple pages and applications)
