- Familiarity with social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter (X), etc
- Basic graphic design skills with experience in tools like Canva, Adobe Photoshop, or Illustrator
- Strong written communication skills for creating captions, blog posts, and social media copy
Position Overview
IBR is offering a Communications/Marketing oriented internship. You will report to your internship lead to work on project requirements that may include but not limited to research related tasks.
Responsibilities
- Support the design and development of internal and external communications
- Conduct independent research to create content to be used for social media posts, blog entries, and press releases
- Work in a team environment toward a high-level goal with minimal oversight
- Be a self-starter and look for opportunities to contribute within your core competencies
- An eye for design and branding to maintain established brand standards across platforms
- Ability to brainstorm and execute creative ideas for campaigns, reels, and stories
- Understanding of audience engagement strategies to drive interaction and growth
Qualifications
- Strong written communication skills for creating captions, blog posts, and social media copy
- Basic graphic design skills with experience in tools like Canva, Adobe Photoshop, or Illustrator
- Light video editing skills using software like Adobe Premiere Pro
- Familiarity with social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter (X), etc
- Ability to schedule and plan posts using tools like Hootsuite
- Basic understanding of analytics tools (e.g., Google and LinkedIn Analytics to measure performance
- Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple deadlines.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt
- A positive, collaborative attitude and willingness to accept feedback
- Strong communicator that pro-actively updates leadership with their progress on projects
Physical Demands and Work Environment
While this position primarily involves sedentary work in an office environment and/or home-office environment, there are some physical demands associated with the role, including:
- Extended periods of sitting and working at a computer workstation.
- Occasional lifting and carrying of equipment or materials weighing up to 20 pounds.
- Occasional travel to client sites or meetings may be required.
- Work may need to be performed in a fast-paced environment requiring quick thinking and rapid judgements.
- Additionally, flexible work arrangements may be available based on business needs.
- Employee will be exposed to a wide variety of clients in differing functions, personalities, and abilities.
