  5. Work Authorization: Must be authorized to legally work in the United States
  6. Key Skills:
    • Java, SQL and NoSQL experience required
    • Strong experience with delivering API’s to AWS Lambda

Overview

Do you want to help IBR build a portfolio of next-generation data collection systems? The AWS API Developer is a hands-on role for an experienced engineer. You will work independently and collaboratively with the rest of the team. You will be responsible for helping develop AWS Lambda functions leveraging Java. You will be responsible for the integration between these Lambda functions and AWS API Gateway as well as calls to AWS DynamoDB. You will work closely with the teams Cloud Solutions Architect and AWS DevOps Lead to architect, orchestrate and optimize these microservice for our AWS deployment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deploy Java based APIs in AWS Lambda
  • Integrate AWS Lambda with API Gateway and AWS DynamoDB
  • Translate business requirements and flows into robust service layer APIs
  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, product owners and development leads

Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience in developing software for enterprise level Web and Mobile Applications
  • 3+ years of Java based service layer development
  • In-depth knowledge of SQL and NoSQL queries
  • Experience with RESTful API’s. Emphasis services on mobile and web-based applications
  • Experience delivering APIs to AWS Lambda
  • Experience in creating configuration build and test scripts for continuous integration and continuous delivery
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as GIT and Issue Tracking such as JIRA
  • Experience in documenting the code and writing unit test cases
  • Experienced with Agile Development methodologies
