The Accounting Lead must be able to meet the key criteria below:

  4. Key Skills:
  • Must have experience with QuickBooks Desktop Pro
  • Advanced level Microsoft Excel (V-lookups, pivot tables, etc.)
  • Must have experience with Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) compliance
  • Government experience

Overview

Imagine Believe Realize is seeking an Accounting Lead to support accounting initiatives. As part of our elite team, you will play a pivotal role in the monthly reporting and analysis, ad hoc reporting, budgeting, forecasting and projections for IBR.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform payroll duties, including collecting, calculating, entering data and submitting biweekly payroll.
  • Maintain timekeeping system, including entering, managing employees, and assign job numbers.
  • Manage all aspects of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable on a monthly basis
  • Conduct Cash Flow Analysis for senior management.
  • Process employee expense reports to include verifying accuracy and coding to the chart of accounts; maintaining paper and electronic vendor files.
  • Month-end close activities (reconciliations, journal entries for job costing)
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports for review (P&L, Balance Sheet)
  • Track expenses and revenues vs. budget and reforecast and analyze fluctuations.
  • Lead and support projects as needed
  • Assist management team with internal & external audit requests
  • Manage the budget & reforecast process
  • Prepare monthly consolidation and executive financial package
  • Prepare quarterly operating reports
  • Review cost performance reports and cost estimates and analyze and evaluate the reports to track and validate funding.
  • Responsible for quarterly tax payments, both federal and state.
  • Develop, maintain, and distribute ad-hoc reports and financial models as needed.
  • Evaluate profit and cost efficiencies in various areas of the organization as needed
  • Perform budget analysis, cost analysis, and cost scheduling and estimating activities in order to monitor funding and ensure budget requirements are met.
  • Perform financial analysis using critical thinking, problem-solving, research, analytical and presentation skills necessary to identify opportunities and present well thought out recommendations to stake holders.
  • Proactively collaborate with key stakeholders to identify needs and opportunities for improved performance.
  • Support DCAA compliance to include:  Forward Pricing Rates, Provisional Billing Rates, Incurred Cost Electronically (ICE) Model, DCAA final rates, and Support Accounting System Review Audits

Additional Responsibilities & Qualifications

  • Support corporate finance - invoices, cash flow analysis, budget analysis, payroll, etc
  • Support program finance activities -budget analysis, project funding, etc.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple activities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
