The Informatica ETL Developer must be able to meet the key criteria below:
Location: 100% remote. This is a United States based position, and candidates must reside in the continental United States to be eligible for employment.
Years’ Experience: 5+ years professional experience
Education: Bachelor’s Degree required
Security Clearance: A current and active Secret security clearance is required.

Key Skills:
- Experience performing Informatica ETL operations and connectors for cloud-based and on-prem ERP systems
- Informatica Development experience required
- Oracle DBMS experience within large-scale database enterprise systems
- Current CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or higher-level certification as defined by DoD CIO Information Assurance requirements
Position Overview
As an Informatica ETL Developer at IBR, you will support the Manpower, Analytics, and Human Resources Systems (MAHRS) program that is in support of the United States Navy. As part of the program, you will assist in overseeing, developing, and maintaining policy for the HR system and data operations. MAHRS develops, delivers, and sustains Human Capital business analytics and tools to improve and support data-driven decision making.
Responsibilities
- Conversion of the Extract, Transmit, Load (ETL) process from Data Manager to Informatica
- Responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining ETL processes to facilitate data integration and transformation
- Deploy, Upgrade, Operate, Manage, and Support of Informatica environments
- Perform Tuning, Optimization, Troubleshooting, and Daily Monitoring of the database
- Monitor daily extract generation from an Oracle database and address issues independently
- Analyze, develop, test, and maintain data ETL extraction procedures utilizing Informatica
- Perform and support Informatica ETL application installation, configuration, updates and patches
- Design, develop, and maintain Informatica ETL PowerCenter scripts
- Analyze, design, develop and maintain Informatica ETL power scripts
- Build robust ETL pipelines.
- Optimize data workflows and SQL queries.
- Pull required data from the Oracle HCM Cloud using the Oracle BI tool and feeding the ETL process the files to be converted into data for existing reports.
- Involvement in code reviews, debugging, performance tuning, data mapping
- Translate business requirements and database administration operational requirements into long-term architecture solutions.
- Ensure that data is accurately and securely extracted, transformed, and loaded into database system for analysis and reporting.
- Designs, builds, and maintains structure (e.g. relational) and unstructured databases within a multiple tier environment.
- Analyzing performance issues, diagnosing/resolving affecting database systems.
- Performs data access analysis design, and archive/recovery design and implementation.
- Maintaining database configurations in compliance with release management, change management, and office of information security requirements
- Perform daily activities like production support and continuous database monitoring.
- Applies knowledge and experience with database technologies, development methodologies, and frontend (e.g. COGNOS) and backāend programming languages (e.g. SQL). Performs database programming and supports systems design.
- Conducts quality control and auditing databases in a multiple-tier environment to ensure accurate and appropriate use of data.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Must be able to obtain a Secret security clearance
- Current CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, CISSP or higher as defined by the DoD CO Information Assurance (IA) certification requirements
- Must possess in depth technical experience specifically with Informatica, SQL, and Python.
- Experience in PowerCenter development
- Involvement in code reviews, debugging, performance tuning, data mapping
- Experience with ETL development and the creation of technical documentation.
- Prior software development experience desired
- Experience performing Informatica ETL Operations and connectors for cloud-based and on-prem ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Fusion Cloud, and PeopleSoft
- Oracle Database experience within large-scale database enterprise systems monitoring the database daily and addressing issues independently
- Experienced in supporting ETL data migration.
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts
- Knowledge of configuration, deployments and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of Oracle database provisioning, cloning and patching techniques
- Experience with Cognos BI preferred but not required
- Data mapping and transformation experience preferred but not required
- Experience working in Databricks preferred but not required

The expected salary range for this position is $95,000 – $125,000 USD annually. This is a good-faith estimate and not a salary guarantee as compensation may vary based on factors such as experience, education, skills, associated role responsibilities, applicable contractual requirements, and geographic location.
