Description

The Salesforce Developer must be able to meet the key criteria below:

Location: 100% remote, bonus if able to be onsite in Suitland, MD

Years’ Experience: 5+ years professional experience

Education: Bachelor’s degree required

Security Clearance: IBR is a federal contractor. Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain up to a Secret security clearance.

NOTE: United States Citizenship is required as part of the eligibility criteria to be able to obtain this type of security clearance.

Key Skills:

  • Must have Salesforce development experience
  • Experience collaborating with customers and internal engineering teams across the SDLC to deliver solutions
  • Experience with designing, building, and implementing custom applications using the declarative customization capabilities of the Salesforce Platform
  • Experience with Lightning and APEX
  • Experience with Omnistudio preferred
  • One or more Salesforce related certifications

 

Position Overview

Do you want to help IBR build a portfolio of next-generation data collection systems? A Salesforce Developer designs, builds, and implements custom applications on the Salesforce platform utilizing Salesforce declarative capabilities and custom coding capabilities (Apex, Lightning Web Components) when necessary. They should be able to work within a team environment utilizing DevSecOps processes and tools. They should be able to collaborate with customers and internal engineering teams across the SDLC to deliver solutions.

 

Responsibilities

  • Build and implement custom applications using the declarative customization capabilities of the Salesforce platform
  • Utilize custom coding capabilities (Apex, Lightning Web Components) to implement technical solutions where necessary
  • Integrate Salesforce based solutions with external systems that provide functionality such as data interfaces, auditing/logging solutions, authentication solutions, etc.
  • Participate and contribute to sprint planning and sprint review meetings and other Agile Ceremonies.
  • Engage directly with stakeholders and end users and provide product demonstrations.
  • Implement Salesforce design solutions including system integrations and data analytics.
  • Configure software components, units, and modules that meet product specification and development schedules for customers.
  • Adhere to product build and release schedules and strategies and use software development pipeline.
  • Create custom developed workflows
  • Test and debug complex software components and units.
  • Develop product documentation as requested.
  • Work within and across teams to define, develop, and refine customer requirements
  • Work closely with testing staff to develop well written and defined test scripts for user stories
  • Determine business, functional, and technical requirements and participate in application design, configuration, testing, and deployment
  • Participate in efforts to develop and execute testing, training, and documentation
  • Produce deliverables such as solution definitions, effort estimations, requirements, test scripts, specifications, and status reports
  • Build and maintain trust and respect with clients
  • Lead teams as needed to deliver solutions

 

Qualifications

  • 5+ years professional experience
  • Must have a Bachelor degree
  • Must be able to obtain up to a Secret security clearance
  • Salesforce development experience required
  • Hands-on professional experience with Salesforce APIs, Lightning, Apex, Visualforce, Flows, Salesforce CPQ and/or other Salesforce functionalities
  • Experience with Salesforce DevOps tools such as Flosum and/or Copado a bonus
  • Experience with Omnistudio preferred
  • Knowledge and expertise with Cloud environments (Service, Sales, Experience)
  • Software development educational background and experience with object-orientated principles and experience with programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, Angular, Bootstrap, AJAX, jQuery, etc
  • Microservices/API experience (SOAP/REST) a bonus
  • Experience with Agile software development
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and soft skills
  • Ability to produce quality technical documentation and analysis
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Ability to work within a team environment as well as independently
  • Salesforce Platform Certified Developer certification a bonus

 

Physical Demands and Work Environment

While this position primarily involves sedentary work in an office environment and/or home-office environment, there are some physical demands associated with the role, including:

  • Extended periods of sitting and working at a computer workstation.
  • Occasional lifting and carrying of equipment or materials weighing up to 20 pounds.
  • Occasional travel to client sites or meetings may be required.
  • Work may need to be performed in a fast-paced environment requiring quick thinking and rapid judgements.
  • Additionally, flexible work arrangements may be available based on business needs.
  • Employee will be exposed to a wide variety of clients in differing functions, personalities, and abilities.
