Overview

As a Senior Oracle DBA at IBR, you will be required to meet the criteria below:

  1. Obtain and maintain a public trust clearance. U.S Citizen and Greencard holders only. No sponsorship.
  2. This is a full time position. The candidate is required to be onsite in Suitland, MD.
  3. 10+ years of experience with Bachelors Degree
  4. Candidate must have experience with Oracle 12c, multi-tenant, and RAC.

Do you want to help IBR build a portfolio of next-generation data collection systems? As a Senior Oracle Database Administrator at IBR, you will support Oracle 11g, 12c multi-tenant and RAC for a key business unit of the Census Bureau. The DBA will be responsible for Tier 3 support and research and development of database related projects including tuning, optimization and troubleshooting multiple environments (20+), stand-alone and pluggable databases, SQL and PL/SQL routines. Candidate must have experience with Oracle 12c multi-tenant and RAC.

Responsibilities

  1. Supervise performance of database installations, configurations, patching, upgrades and migrations as required
  2. Analyze performance issues and providing recommendations based on testing results
  3. Proactively diagnose and resolve problems affecting database
  4. Maintain database configurations in compliance with release management and change management
  5. Participate in special projects and performs additional duties as required.
  6. Support the installation, configuration and operations of WebLogic, OHS, and Oracle Business Intelligence.

Qualifications

  1. 6+ years of experience with Bachelors Degree 
  2. Must have hands on experience with Oracle 12c multi-tenant and RAC
  3. Experience with the Commerce Business System and Core Financial System
  4. Experience as an SME working with Oracle 11g/12c Multi-tenant RAC and Data guard running on a variety of operating systems (Linux (RHEL), Solaris and Windows).
  5. Experience with WebLogic, OHS, and Oracle Business Intelligence products.
  6. Experience with Oracle Backup Design Planning.
  7. Expertise writing complex SQL statements and tuning existing SQL statements for performance and scalability.
  8. Experience developing SQL*loader Data loading/unloading scripts, stored procedures that process and modify existing data.
  9. Creating database jobs to execute ad-hoc PL/ SQL as well as procedures used to validate data, modify data, or gather table and index statistics at regular intervals.
  10. Monitoring and troubleshooting SQL*Loader/PL/SQL Data Loads for Performance, Coding and Infrastructure issues.
  11. Experience with UNIX shell scripting for automating regular data loading and other database maintenance activities.
  12. Experience working in Oracle environment on Red Hat Linux platform.
  13. Critical thinking and problem solving abilities to address complex issues involving data movement and data replication.
  14. Proven ability to resolve architectural issues in the environment and database infrastructure, as well as develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of the database architecture and the application functionality.
  15. Strong hands-on Experience with the Oracle RMAN Backup and Restore, Export and Import Data Pump utilities.
  16. Experience working with Oracle 12c OEM for database monitoring.
  17. Experience with E2 Travel interface
  18. Experience in Coding Functions, Stored Procedures, scripts, etc using PL/SQL
  19. Experience with multiple methodologies of software development, including Scrum, Kanban, and Waterfall
  20. Experience in Oracle JDeveloper (11g and up)
  21. Experience with Oracle Forms and Reports Services
  22. Experience with Oracle Web Application Troubleshooting on Weblogic platform
  23. Experience with Unix/Linux
  24. Experience with Subversion
  25. Experience with financial systems
  26. Experience/certification for Oracle Identity Management Suite
  27. Experience/certification for Oracle BPM
  28. Experience with Oracle HTTP Server
  29. Experience conducting code reviews
  30. Experience creating entity relationship diagrams, data models, and other artifacts of technical architecture
