The Salesforce Business Analyst must be able to meet the key criteria below:
Location: 100% remote. This is a United States based position, and candidates must reside in the continental United States to be eligible for employment.
Years’ Experience: 3+ years’ professional experience
Education: Bachelor’s degree required
Security Clearance: IBR is a federal contractor. Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance issued by the U.S. Air Force. This agency handles and adjudicates the security clearance process.
NOTE: United States Citizenship is required as part of the eligibility criteria to be able to obtain this type of security clearance.

Position Overview
As a Salesforce Business Analyst at IBR, you will play a key role in designing and implementing secure, next-generation solutions that support critical missions. As a member of our team, you will collaborate with technical leaders, business stakeholders, and a multi-disciplinary team to ensure solutions are scalable, secure and forward-thinking, while remaining aligned with organizational and program goals. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to technical strategy within a dynamic, mission-driven, and customer focused environment.
This position will play a pivotal role in the system development cycle and consult with end users to evaluate business requirements into design specifications. This position will work closely with the Development teams to design, code, test, and implement application features and capabilities for an enterprise portal built on the Salesforce platform.
Responsibilities
- Collaborates with stakeholders to elicit requirements, business process and operational scenarios
- Design Business Processes by analyzing stakeholder requirements, construct business process models, workflow charts and diagrams, evaluate system capabilities, and write specifications/user stories.
- Facilitate Stakeholder Engagement – Conduct discovery sessions, workshops, and interviews to align business needs with technology solutions.
- Translate Business Needs into Solutions – Bridge the gap between business users and technical teams by defining clear, scalable solutions.
- Support requirements decomposition into user stories in an Agile Development lifecycle
- Facilitate the creation of functional and technical diagrams and related artifacts
- Write Clear & Actionable User Stories – Craft well-defined user stories, including acceptance criteria, to support Agile development.
- Analyze & Improve Workflows – Assess existing processes, identify inefficiencies, and propose improvements.
- Configure Systems for Prototyping – Set up basic configurations, such as fields, page layouts, and workflows, to validate business needs.
- Will be responsible for assessing overall business needs and providing solutions as well as documenting and defining business requirements
- Develop process/control changes by identifying gaps/issues/areas for improvement, writing improved processes.
- Map Salesforce capabilities, features and best practices against business and technical requirements. Will drive optimal utilization of Salesforce systems.
Qualifications
- 3+ year’s experience as a Business Analyst
- Must have Salesforce experience
- Must be able to obtain a maintain a Secret security clearance
- Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in an IT related field
- MUST hold Salesforce Certified Associate AND Salesforce Certified Business Analyst certifications
Must Have Knowledge/Skills:
- Professional experience utilizing Salesforce
- Business Process Analysis, Mapping, and Optimization – Understanding how to analyze, document, and improve business processes across various industries.
- Requirements Gathering & Management – Expertise in eliciting and the defining of requirements and managing user stories, functional requirements, requirements analysis and acceptance criteria. Experience in translating requirements into viable concept design solutions.
- Experience facilitating the elicitation of requirements with business customers, system assessment teams, test teams etc. to ensure prioritization
- Experience with documenting business (BRD) and functional (FRD) requirements systems through entire System Design Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Change Management & User Adoption – Awareness of strategies to drive adoption, train users, and manage change effectively within organizations
- Translate Business Needs into Solutions – Bridge the gap between business users and technical teams by defining clear, scalable solutions.
- Write Clear & Actionable User Stories – Craft well-defined user stories, including acceptance criteria, to support Agile development.
- Experience maintaining system protocols, architecture concepts, requirements, and associated design documents through traceability, updating procedures, analyzing system and program changes.
Must Have Behaviors/Communication:
- Salesforce Business Analysts should have the ability to listen to customer needs and convert them into Salesforce features they can then convey to the customer to help shape customers’ expectations.

- Salesforce Ecosystem & Capabilities – Familiarity with Salesforce Clouds, automation tools, reporting, and best practices.
- Data Modeling & Management – Understanding data structures, relationships, and best practices for migration, deduplication, and security.
- Configure Systems for Prototyping – Set up basic configurations, such as fields, page layouts, and workflows, to validate business needs.
- Ability to obtain Salesforce certifications and CompTIA Security+ certifications

The expected salary range for this position is $80,000 - $120,000 USD annually. This is a good-faith estimate and not a salary guarantee as compensation may vary based on factors such as experience, education, skills, associated role responsibilities, applicable contractual requirements, and geographic location.
