The Windows Focused DevOps Engineer must be able to meet the key criteria below:

  2. Years’ Experience: 10+ years
  3. Education: Bachelors
  4. Work Authorization: Must be a US Citizen
  5. Key Skills:
    • Must have AWS experience (AWS certifications preferred)
    • Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Ant, Maven)
    • Experience with Microsoft technologies such as Active Directory, SharePoint, SQL Server and .NET

 

Overview

 

Do you want to help IBR build a portfolio of next-generation data collection systems and enterprise portals? As a DevOps Engineer you will assist in implementing automated build / configure / deployment technologies. The project focuses on designing secure, cloud-based, enterprise-level solutions for the Federal Government.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Participates on DevOps in the delivery of systems that conform to the requirements and approach of the goals of major transformation projects within the federal government.
  • Builds system models required to show alignment to the business models.
  • Designs pipelines for DevOps automation including manifests, modules, templates, dealing with different types of resources, etc.
  • Provide documentation that captures the implementation of new DevOps automation practices, standards, and processes for other team members.
  • Identifies bugs, gaps, and inconsistencies with DevOps practices and proposes remediation.
  • Explains and presents complex issues and design tradeoffs.
  • Participates in technical sessions such as design reviews and code walkthroughs.
  • Explains the rationale for architectural decisions and defends DevOps principles, standards and methods.
  • Ensures that development projects employ approved products and standards, uses and/or delivers re-usable services and data, applies required information security safeguards, avoids unnecessary duplication and redundancy and satisfies customer requirements in a cost-effective manner.
  • Participate and, at times, lead technical sessions such related to how processes can be improved to provide new infrastructure, COTS-based applications, and custom solutions into our test and production environments.
  • Work with peer technical personnel involved with software development, database design, infrastructure design, and information security.
  • Participate in crosscutting, multi-component efforts and look for solutions that cut across all client systems

 

Qualifications

 

  • The candidate will have some mix of Puppet, TeamCity, and/or Bitbucket skills.
  • Understands installation and configuration of Microsoft-oriented technologies including Active Directory, SharePoint, SQL Server, and .NET.
  • Understands and works comfortably within AWS architecture.
  • Specialization in and experience with cloud infrastructure deployments.
  • A Mid-Level DevOps engineer must be able to understand issues in a variety of IT disciplines and must be able to communicate effectively and persuasively verbally and in writing.
