The IT Scrum Master must be able to meet the key criteria below:

Location: 100% remote

Years’ Experience: 5+ years experience

Education: Bachelor degree in IT related field required

Security Clearance: IBR is a federal contractor. Applicants must currently possess an active Secret security clearance.

NOTE: United States Citizenship is required as part of the eligibility criteria to be able to obtain this type of security clearance.

Key Skills:

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or related Agile certification required.
  • Demonstrated experience has a Scrum Master. DoD experience preferred
  • Experience working with Agile and SAFe methodology.
  • Experience adhering to SDLC processes.
  • Experience with requirements management (ie. requirements analysis, creating requirements specification and documentation)

 

Position Overview

Do you want to help build a portfolio of next-generation mobile-enabled data collection systems and enterprise portals? As a Scrum Master at IBR, you will support the Agile based engineering of a robust, secure, and scalable enterprise solutions hosted in AWS. This position will work closely with the solutions delivery team to supporting the operations team performing Deployment, Systems Integration Testing, and Operations & Maintenance activities.

 

Responsibilities

  • Development and Grooming of Product Backlog through coordination with Product Owners.
  • Management of Sprint Backlog through key scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning and daily standup.
  • Responsible for requirements management Agile planning, tracking, and execution which will include creating requirement specification and documentation to meet stakeholder objectives
  • Creation of user stories and epics using Agile project tools such as JIRA and Gitlab.
  • Participate in systems requirements reviews
  • Manage and facilitate stakeholder meetings to develop plans
  • Involved in spring planning and leading status metings
  • Ensuring daily activities are in accordance with Scrum Process and best practices are adhered to
  • Lead planning efforts to develop and maintain Road Maps
  • Coordinating with other team members to work action items, handle issues, and track/remove blockers
  • Reacting to change and communicating to both members of the team and stakeholders
  • Coach team members on the agile process to help clearly understand product scope and vision.
  • Raise business risks associated with system or data quality
  • Provide metrics driven data for reporting and maintaining team velocity

 

Qualifications

  • Must have 5+ years of professional experience in Business Requirements Analysis
  • 3+ years of experience in IT management providing scrum master support
  • Must have a Bachelor degree in an IT related field
  • Active Secret security clearance.
  • Software Background to understand Technical Details from each team at a foundational level.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Scrum Master in the planning, tracking, and execution of initiatives
  • Experience with requirements management (ie. requirements analysis, creating requirements specification and documentation)
  • Experience working directly with stakeholders to elicit requirements
  • Experience building process models, writing acceptance criteria, and designing user interfaces for a production system.
  • Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle Process (SDLC).
  • Experience with Agile and SAFe Methodology.
  • Experience leading Software Development teams.
  • Ability to coordinate with others.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving ability to remove roadblocks.
  • Knowledge of Agile project tools such as JIRA and Gitlab.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification required.
  • Must have strong analytical skills

 

Physical Demands and Work Environment

While this position primarily involves sedentary work in an office environment and/or home-office environment, there are some physical demands associated with the role, including:

  • Extended periods of sitting and working at a computer workstation.
  • Occasional lifting and carrying of equipment or materials weighing up to 20 pounds.
  • Occasional travel to client sites or meetings may be required.
  • Work may need to be performed in a fast-paced environment requiring quick thinking and rapid judgements.
  • Additionally, flexible work arrangements may be available based on business needs.
  • Employee will be exposed to a wide variety of clients in differing functions, personalities, and abilities.
