  • Clearance: Must be able to obtain a maintain a Secret Clearance
  • Work Authorization: Must be a US citizen
  • Key Skills:
  • Security+ or CISSP Certification required
  • Must have RMF and Information Assurance experience

Overview

We are seeking an Information System Security Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for providing engineering and architecture support to for cybersecurity and information security design, tools and security control implementation. The engineer will be responsible for supporting the A&A process. As a result, the candidate must have an understanding of standards and requirements outlined by FISMA, NIST, and OMB. Candidate must have good communication skills. The ability to work well with the customer is key for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the customer with authorizing assessment and authorization (A&A) documentation.
  • Support writing and reviewing of Risk Management Framework (RMF) documentation packages to support risk assessments.
  • Be proficient with vulnerability scanning tools and frameworks to evaluate the security posture of a system.
  • Able to assist the customer in preparing training conferences, exercises, and video teleconferences to meet annual IA training objectives.
  • Have technical understanding of emerging technologies and their implementation within the customer’s network environments.
  • Knowledge of web application security, mobile application security, RMF processes, procedures, governance and Navy IA

Qualifications

  • Experience with security test tools such as Nessus, Web Inspect, and/or Fortify a bonus
  • Experience with requirements analysis, architect, design, and documentation development of cybersecurity and information security solutions
  • Writes and validates RMF Certification and Accreditation/Assessment and Authorization documentation.
  • Experience with IA tools and scanners used to evaluate the security posture of the system/enclave.
  • Working knowledge of NIST 800 Series
  • Experience with Windows and Linux administration
  • Experience with FIPS a bonus
  • Experience with enterprise CM tools required such as Splunk and SVN or Jenkins a bonus
  • Ability to recognize security risks, document risks and communicate findings and recommendations.
