The Senior SQL Server DBA must meet the below criteria:

1. Location: Must be onsite in Suitland, MD
2. Years' Experience: 8+ years experience with MS SQL Server Stack (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS and BI Tools) 
3. Education: Bachelors
4. Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance
5. Work Authorization: Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder
6. Key Skills:

• Preferred candidate has a Microsoft Certified Solutions Association (MCSA) in MS SQL Server Database Administration and Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE)- Data Platform.
• 5+ years of experience writing SQL queries/ scripts/ stored procedures supporting complex applications and reports development.
• 5+ years’ experience with Microsoft SQL Server. Experience upgrading to SQL Server 2016.
• Design, develop, test, tune, and implement database objects and any supporting SQL scripts using Microsoft SQL Server 2016.

Overview

Do you want to help IBR build a portfolio of next-generation data collection systems? The Senior SQL Server DBA will support requirements analysis, implementation, test and operations for an enterprise information technology system that provides highly automated solutions for a user base of more than 100 million end users. Candidate must have strong skills in data analysis, database modeling, query writing, stored procedures and reports development. Analyze and create complex SQL and SSIS /SSRS / SSAS artifacts as needed to support new and evolving data integration projects and data extracts.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and develop computer software possessing a wide range of capabilities supporting high volume data driven information systems
• Develop database solutions on the Microsoft SQL Server 2016 platform using Microsoft stack technologies including SharePoint and Office 365
• Develop complex SQL queries
• Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies
• Support development of ETL solutions
• Support DBA like tasks developing DDLs, index plans, triggers and other database related activities on Microsoft SQL Server platform
• Support the full life cycle of test data - plan, create, load, clean up etc.
• Support the creation and execution of test plans/scenarios/procedures that encompass numerous testing activities such as functional, non-functional, regression, security, performance, etc.
• Analyze and create complex SQL Queries, database scripts, stored procedures, triggers etc. as well as troubleshooting and optimizing.
• Analyze and create SSIS / SSRS/ SSAS as needed to support new and evolving data integration projects and data extracts.
• Design, develop, test, tune, and implement database objects and any supporting SQL scripts using Microsoft SQL Server 2016. (This includes but is not limited to stored procedures, views, functions, data manipulation scripts and ETL.)
• Developing advanced database driven websites using Microsoft SQL Server 2016
• Modify existing SQL, procedures, triggers and functions.
• Create database tables, indexes, views, triggers and other objects in development environment.
• Create technical design documentation which includes current and future functionality, database objects affected, specifications, and flows/diagrams to detail the proposed implementation.
• Able to clearly communicate technical data to non-technical colleagues and clients.

Qualifications

• Experience upgrading to SQL Server 2016 a bonus.
• 5+ years of experience writing SQL queries/ scripts/ stored procedures supporting complex applications and reports development.
• 5+ years’ experience with Microsoft SQL Server
• 4+ years software development experience in data driven information technology systems.
• 3+ years’ experience installing and configuring MS stack products such as SharePoint and Office 365
• 3+ years’ experience of hands on project experience as a database specialist.
